Chris Fahlman denied bail in connection with the fatal shooting of Tanya Myers on Highway 39 in September.
Chris Fahlman, 42, of Regina, has been denied bail in connection with the second-degree murder of Tanya Myers, 44, who was fatally shot on Highway 39 near Weyburn on September 12. A two-day bail hearing in Weyburn concluded with Justice Michael Morris ordering Fahlman to remain in custody, citing reasons protected by a publication ban. Fahlman faces one count each of second-degree murder and intentionally discharging a firearm while reckless to safety. Previous charges of manslaughter and gun-related offenses were stayed. The RCMP confirmed Myers was a passenger in a vehicle struck by gunfire, and the two were not known to each other. Fahlman has been in custody since early November and is scheduled to appear in Weyburn Provincial Court on December 9. The investigation remains ongoing.
