The animal, a beloved public attraction known for its impressive antlers, was discovered by park staff during routine feeding after intruders broke in overnight. Fingal County Council and local officials, including Mayor Tom O’Leary, condemned the act, emphasizing the stag’s significance to families and the community. The killing is illegal without a license, and An Garda Siochana, the National Parks and Wildlife Service, and Fingal County Council are investigating.
