The sixth annual Sault Film Festival returns in person at The Grand Theatre in Sault Ste.
Marie, following a 2024 online shift due to severe snowfall.
Running November 28–30, it features films by Northern Ontario filmmakers, including student, Indigenous, and mental health-focused works, plus international shorts from Scotland and the U.S. in the "Beyond Local" online block.
Highlights include the in-person debut of the 2023 film Magnetosphere, a coming-of-age story about synesthesia, and two short films by Sault native Jade Yurich.
Additional events include workshops, a documentary on Indigenous sustainable fishing, and music performances.
Festival passes are $100, with individual tickets starting at $10 for youth.
