A newborn baby, believed to be less than 24 hours old, was found outside the South Tuggeranong Fire and Rescue Station in Canberra just after 7 a.m. on November 27, 2025.
The infant was unharmed and taken to Canberra Hospital.
ACT Policing is urging the mother to seek immediate medical care and is asking anyone with information—especially dash-cam footage or sightings near the station overnight or early Thursday—to contact Crime Stoppers ACT anonymously, quoting case number 8228819.
The mother’s identity remains unknown.
