Lexar has launched the industry’s first AI Storage Core, a high-performance storage solution for edge AI devices like AI PCs, autonomous vehicles, and robotics. Designed to handle real-time AI workloads, it offers up to 4TB of capacity, ultra-fast speeds, and optimized small-block I/O for tasks like large language model loading. Built with durability in mind, it resists dust, water, shock, and radiation, with models operating from -40°C to 85°C. Its hot-swappable design enables system-upgrade flexibility and PCIe boot support allows direct OS launching. Targeted at AI PCs, gaming, imaging, autonomous driving, and robotics, the product aims to overcome storage bottlenecks as AI shifts to edge devices.
