India and Venezuela agreed to boost trade and cooperation in multiple sectors during talks in New Delhi on November 26, 2025.
India and Venezuela agreed on November 26, 2025, to expand cooperation in trade, health, pharmaceuticals, digital technology, agriculture, and development partnerships during their fifth Foreign Office Consultations in New Delhi.
Co-chaired by India’s P. Kumaran and Venezuela’s Tatiana Josefina Pugh Moreno, the talks emphasized strengthened ties in multilateral forums and shared views on global issues.
Both sides discussed diversifying economic relations beyond oil, including critical minerals and Indian investment, and urged reviving the dormant India-Venezuela Joint Committee Mechanism.
India highlighted ONGC’s operations in Venezuela and explored opportunities in pharmaceuticals and automobiles.
The next consultations will be held in Caracas at a mutually convenient time.
