India raids 15 sites in probe over alleged bribery to secure medical college approvals.
On November 27, 2025, India’s Enforcement Directorate conducted raids at 15 locations across ten states and Delhi under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, targeting a money laundering investigation tied to alleged bribery in securing academic approvals for medical colleges.
The probe stems from a June 30 FIR by the CBI, which accused government officials, including those from the National Medical Commission, and private college representatives of leaking confidential inspection details to manipulate evaluations.
The raids targeted medical colleges and residences linked to individuals named in the case, with the ED seeking to trace illicit financial flows.
The investigation remains ongoing.
