The Indian government has approved the Rs 305-crore Tex-RAMPS scheme, launching in 2025-26 and running through 2030-31, to boost research, innovation, and global competitiveness in the textiles sector.
Fully funded by the Ministry of Textiles, the initiative will support smart textiles, sustainable materials, and process innovations, while developing a real-time data and analytics platform for supply-chain mapping, employment tracking, and the India-Size study.
It will foster collaboration among industry, academia, and government through incubators, training, and state-level planning, aiming to strengthen the textile value chain, create jobs, and enhance policy effectiveness.
