Ghana forms 11-member committee to lead 2026 World Cup efforts, backed by $150M and U.S. coordination.
Ghana has launched an 11-member inter-ministerial committee to oversee its 2026 World Cup campaign, chaired by Deputy Chief of Staff Stan Xoese Dogbe and supported by key officials including the Sports Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister.
The committee, formed after a cabinet decision, aims to coordinate national efforts, prevent past issues with fan travel and visas, and promote Ghana’s economy and global image.
It will work closely with U.S. consular officials to ensure smooth travel for supporters and has been allocated GH₵150 million.
The group includes government leaders, sports figures, and a pending private sector representative.
