Foo Fighters top the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with "Asking for a Friend," their 13th No. 1, marking their most chart-toppers since 2009.
Foo Fighters have earned their 13th No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with “Asking for a Friend,” their second top spot in 2025. The song, which reached 5.7 million audience impressions and displaced Sublime’s “Ensenada” after 10 weeks, marks the band’s most chart-toppers since the chart’s 2009 debut. It also hit No. 2 on Mainstream Rock Airplay and No. 5 on Alternative Airplay, with 494,000 U.S. streams. The single, released independently, features new drummer Ilan Rubin, who joined in July, and coincided with the announcement of the 2026 Take Cover Tour.
