A Delhi driver was arrested in Rajasthan for stealing ₹4 crore in luxury items from his employer’s home during Navratri.
A 30-year-old Delhi driver, Mahender Dan, was arrested in Rajasthan on November 23 for allegedly stealing jewellery and luxury watches worth about Rs 4 crore from his employer’s home during the Navratri festival.
The theft occurred between August 28 and September 29 while the family was away.
Dan, a four-year employee, reportedly used his access to steal items including Rolex, Hublot, and Roger Dubuis watches, diamond rings, and gold ornaments.
Police from the Anti-Burglary Cell arrested him based on fingerprint evidence, surveillance, and intelligence, recovering most of the loot in his village and gold biscuits in Delhi.
He confessed, citing financial hardship, and the case remains under investigation at South Campus Police Station.
