Türkiye is moving toward mass production of its domestically built Hurjet advanced jet trainer after 340 flights and 260 flight hours from two prototypes.
Developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries, the single-engine jet, capable of Mach 1.4 and 45,000 feet, will be delivered to Turkey’s Turkish Stars aerobatic team in 2026, with initial production of 16 units.
A production line is being built to make two aircraft per month.
A major export deal with Spain is nearing finalization, with plans to buy about 45 Hurjets—valued at €3.12 billion—to replace Spain’s F-5 fleet, with deliveries starting in 2028.
