Seatrium wins BP contract to build Tiber FPU, producing 80,000 barrels/day in deep Gulf of America waters.
Seatrium has won a contract from BP to build the Tiber Floating Production Unit in the Gulf of America, marking its second deepwater project for BP in a year.
The FPU, designed to produce 80,000 barrels of oil per day from fields 300 miles southwest of New Orleans, will operate in 4,100-foot-deep waters.
Over 85% of its design mirrors the Kaskida FPU, enabling efficiency through standardized processes.
Seatrium will use its Goliath twin cranes—capable of a 30,000-ton lift—to install the fully tested topside onshore, improving safety and speed.
The project boosts Seatrium’s deepwater portfolio, which includes prior work for Shell on the Vito, Whale, and Sparta FPUs.
