Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a high-performance mobile chip offering 36% faster CPU performance and 46% improved AI processing over its predecessor, with 11% better graphics performance. Built on a 3nm process, it features a custom Oryon CPU running up to 3.8GHz and the Adreno 840 GPU, supporting advanced AI, camera processing, and efficient 5G connectivity. The chip is designed for flagship-level performance at a more accessible price, with OnePlus, iQOO, Motorola, and Vivo expected to launch devices using it in the coming weeks.
