Indonesia is expanding its carbon trading efforts by including forest farmer groups and indigenous communities, aiming to recognize 1.4 million hectares of indigenous forests within four years.
The government, led by Deputy Minister Rohmat Marzuki, is partnering with international bodies like the Integrity Council and IETA to strengthen carbon market integrity and secure funding for rehabilitating 12 million hectares of critical land.
