Colleen Jones, a six-time Canadian women’s curling champion and two-time world champion, has died at 65 after a battle with cancer.
A trailblazing athlete and CBC broadcaster, she was the first female sports anchor in Halifax and covered 10 Olympic Games.
Known for her leadership and resilience, including surviving bacterial meningitis in 2010, Jones was inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame and named to the Order of Canada.
She coached her son’s team at the Brier and authored a memoir.
Her passing was announced by Curling Canada on November 25, 2025.
