Elijah Alexander King, 36, of San Luis Obispo, has been charged in federal court with threatening to bomb synagogues within a 20-mile radius via social media in August 2025.
Authorities say he posted the threats under the name “Billy Badass,” searched for nearby synagogues after posting, and made antisemitic statements, including praising Hitler.
He was arrested on October 24, placed on a three-day psychiatric hold, and continued posting online.
Prosecutors allege he sent racist messages to a detective investigating him.
King pleaded not guilty to three counts, including threats by interstate communication and false information about explosives.
A trial is set for January 13, 2026, with a possible sentence of up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
