Quincy Wilson, 16, Olympic gold medalist and former under-18 400m world record holder, has committed to the University of Maryland, turning down Texas A&M, South Carolina, USC, and UCLA. Announced via YouTube on November 24, 2025, he cited family proximity and Maryland’s support system. Wilson, the youngest male U.S. track Olympian, won gold in the 4x400m relay at Paris 2024 and holds multiple U.S. high school records. He will join the Terrapins in fall 2026, eyeing a key role in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
