A 22-year-old man is charged with attempted murder after hitting a student during a police chase across counties.

A 22-year-old suspect in Elkhart County faces attempted murder charges after allegedly striking a student during a police pursuit that began in Marshall County and ended with his arrest by St. Joseph Police. The suspect, previously detained on a warrant, is also charged with felony resisting and faces additional legal action. In a separate case, a man was convicted of murder in a 2023 downtown Elkhart shooting, with sentencing set for December 4, 2025.
