Trump's T1 smartphone, promised in August, remains unreleased with no proof of a government shutdown delay, while claims of "Made in USA" production have been dropped and phone images changed.
Donald Trump’s T1 smartphone, announced in June 2025 as a “Made in the USA” device, remains unreleased nearly four months after its promised August launch.
Despite $100 deposits from customers, including NBC News, the phone has not shipped, with delivery dates pushed from November 13 to “early December” and attributed to a government shutdown without evidence.
The company removed “Made in the USA” claims from its website, replacing them with vague references to “American hands” and “American-proud design.” Photos of the phone have changed significantly, sparking concerns about authenticity, including a version resembling a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Industry experts say producing a fully American-made smartphone at scale is nearly impossible due to reliance on global supply chains, even for the only U.S.-assembled model.
Meanwhile, Trump Mobile continues selling refurbished iPhones and Samsung devices under its branding.
No official update has been provided on the T1’s status.
