A Tennessee woman was arrested for allegedly shooting a dog multiple times while it was trapped, leading to its death.

Crystal Palmer, 38, of Bradley County, Tennessee, was arrested on November 23, 2025, on charges of aggravated cruelty to animals after allegedly shooting a dog multiple times with a firearm while it was confined. Witnesses reported the dog fled into her home and was later found dead. Deputies found blood in the kennel, a blood trail leading inside, and spent .22-caliber shell casings at the scene. A search warrant led to the recovery of the dog, which was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office. Palmer was questioned, charged, and remains in custody as the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation.
