NSW police and transport teams inspected 45 vehicles in western Sydney, issuing 20 fines and 34 defect notices, including 10 safety red flags.

On November 21, NSW Police and Transport for NSW conducted a joint operation in western Sydney’s Mt Druitt and Blacktown, inspecting 45 vehicles and issuing 20 infringement notices and 34 defect notices, including 10 red notices for immediate safety risks. Two lifted Toyota LandCruiser 40-series SUVs were among the vehicles targeted. A similar operation on Sydney’s North Shore earlier that week resulted in 13 defective vehicles identified, seven exceeding noise limits, and 47 infringement notices issued. Authorities are urging the public to report dangerous driving via the Community Portal or Crime Stoppers.
