A North Dakota man was indicted for allegedly traveling to Thailand to sexually abuse two children, with a trial set for January 6, 2026.

Sean David Snyder, 40, of Bismarck, North Dakota, has been indicted on federal charges for allegedly traveling to Phuket, Thailand, between 2018 and 2025 with intent to sexually abuse two children, including one born in 2016 and another in 2012. He faces multiple counts of illicit sexual conduct abroad and possession of child sexual abuse material. Snyder appeared in court on November 24, 2025, and his trial is set for January 6. He previously faced a 2015 charge of gross sexual imposition, which ended in a not-guilty verdict. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case, which is unrelated to former Sen. Ray Holmberg’s case.
