Ghana’s Kasoa–Winneba highway to be completed by June 2026, improving regional connectivity and reducing traffic.
Ghana’s Roads Minister Kwame Agbodza announced the Kasoa–Winneba highway stretch will likely be completed by June 2026, with the Winneba–Mankessim section expected before 2027.
The project, split among multiple contractors, includes building a new dual carriageway and adding the previously unplanned Winneba interchange.
Agbodza cited past traffic disruptions due to simultaneous work on the main road and expansion, but confirmed the upgraded route will improve connectivity between Greater Accra and Central Regions, reduce congestion, and boost regional economic activity once finished.
