Ghana, Kenya, and Togo to host regional forum on gender-responsive lawmaking in Accra, Nov. 26–27, 2025.
Ghana, Kenya, and Togo will host a two-day regional forum on gender-responsive lawmaking in Accra from November 26 to 27, 2025, organized by the Africa Centre for Parliamentary Engagement and Accountability with support from the Parliament of Ghana and funding from Global Affairs Canada.
The event will bring together parliamentarians, civil society, and development partners to strengthen gender equality in legislation, share tools for inclusive lawmaking, and explore digital innovations for public engagement.
Panel discussions will highlight experiences from the three countries and focus on strategies to ensure laws reflect the needs of women and marginalized groups.
The forum will be opened by Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, and include remarks from the Canadian High Commission.
