Former Martin Mayor Randy Brundige, his daughter Natalie Brundige, and City Director Brad Thompson pleaded not guilty to theft and official misconduct charges tied to alleged misuse of over $450,000 in city funds. The Tennessee Comptroller’s investigation uncovered accusations of improper spending, including $11,000 on dining by Brundige, $174,000 in wages for minimal work by his daughter, and $274,000 in misappropriated funds and $33,000 in personal travel by Thompson. Brundige resigned from office last week, and all three are scheduled to return to court on February 9, 2026.
