Ethan Graverson, 22, charged with killing his father in a Nov. 21 shooting, citing years of abuse and fear.
Ethan Graverson, 22, of Calumet County, was charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the Nov. 21 shooting death of his father, Jeffrey Graverson, at their Woodville home.
According to court documents, Graverson admitted to firing multiple shots after an argument, claiming years of emotional and mental abuse and fear of his father, who he described as a “monster.” He said he retrieved a 9mm gun from the garage, believed his father threatened to kill him, and felt compelled to act when told to fight “man to man.” Graverson called 911 after the shooting and was taken into custody.
He has a history of depression and past therapy attempts.
His mother requested a lower bond for mental health treatment, but a judge set bond at $1 million.
Graverson is scheduled for a status conference on January 5.
