AI startup Model ML raised $75M to build secure, automated AI agents for investment banking tasks.
AI startup Model ML has raised $75 million in a Series A round led by FT Partners, bringing its total funding to $87 million within a year of launch.
The company, founded by brothers Chaz and Arnie Englander, develops AI agents to automate complex tasks in investment banking, such as creating pitch decks and due diligence reports, using agentic workflows and a secure, single-tenant architecture on clients’ Azure environments.
Based in London and New York, it has relocated its engineering team to London’s King’s Cross for cost and talent advantages.
The round included participation from Y Combinator, QED Investors, and other investors, with advisory support from former banking executives including HSBC’s Noel Quinn and UBS’s Axel Weber.
The company is expanding its onboarding teams across global hubs and hiring more AI engineers, aiming to streamline manual, fragmented banking workflows amid rising regulatory demands.
