William Kamm, 74, founder of "Little Pebble," granted bail on charges of grooming a girl from age six, with trial set for June 2026.
William Kamm, 74, founder of the religious group "Little Pebble," has been granted bail after being accused of grooming a girl from age six to become his "queen," including telling her at nine her "mission from God" was to have sex with him. Prosecutors allege he used religious manipulation, including recorded messages and cruise plans to bypass age-of-consent laws, and that he and his wife, Sandra Susan Mathison, 58, engaged in a years-long campaign of control. Both have pleaded not guilty to charges of grooming a child under 14 and inciting sexual acts. Kamm’s defense argues no actual sexual activity occurred and that his intent was toward an adult relationship. Acting Justice Robert Hulme granted bail with strict conditions, including daily police reporting, residence at an offender support centre, and no contact with cult members. The trial is set for June 2026. Support services are available for survivors of sexual abuse.
