President Mahama launched major upgrades at Ghana Senior High School, including a new auditorium and classrooms, funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund.
President John Mahama, alongside First Lady Lordina Mahama, broke ground on a 5,000-capacity auditorium and other major upgrades at Ghana Senior High School during its 65th anniversary, including an astro turf field, SMART classrooms, dormitories, and science labs, all funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund.
The expansion addresses the school’s growing student population of over 4,500.
Mahama highlighted improved funding for Free Senior High School and announced plans to upgrade 30 Category C schools, complete 30 abandoned E-Blocks, and launch a poultry and livestock farm at GHANASCO to support school meals.
The government will deliver 2,000 new furniture sets and acquire 50 buses by 2026.
