IMPC invests $24M in Indonesia to boost polymer education and innovation, targeting ASEAN leadership.
PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk (IMPC) is investing Rp250 billion ($15 million) by 2026 to launch the Impack Polymer Science Institute (IPSI) in Indonesia, aiming to become ASEAN’s leading hub for polymer education.
Partnering with Germany’s SKZ-German Plastics Center, IMPC will use SKZ’s 'Train the Trainer' program to develop high-quality instructors and deliver internationally recognized training.
The initiative targets Indonesia’s growing skills gap in the plastics industry, aiming to improve workforce quality and reduce unemployment.
Additionally, IMPC plans to spend Rp150 billion ($9 million) over five years on its research and innovation center to advance building materials and plastic processing technologies.
