Genesis Magma introduces ICE models with V6 engines and hybrid options to boost sales, targeting 350,000 annual units by 2030.
Genesis Magma, the new high-performance sub-brand from Genesis, will include internal combustion engine (ICE) models alongside electric vehicles, as confirmed by the company.
Prototypes with ICE powertrains are already being tested at Genesis’s R&D center in Korea.
The brand aims to deliver emotional, refined driving experiences through tuned 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engines or hybrid systems, with carefully engineered exhaust sounds.
Magma variants will be offered across the lineup, including the G80, GV70, and G70, supporting Genesis’s goal to reach 350,000 annual sales by 2030, with Magma making up 10% of that volume.
ICE models will remain available until at least 2050, particularly to meet demand in markets like the U.S., Middle East, and Australia.
The G90 Magma will not be offered in right-hand-drive markets like Australia.
