Brooke County celebrated the holidays with a veteran-themed parade, a state cheerleading title, and community cleanup efforts.

The Brooke County Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the Wellsburg Christmas parade on November 23, 2025, honoring military veterans as grand marshals on a patriotic float. The event featured local bands, dance teams, festive floats, and a snow-making display, with Santa Claus concluding the procession. Meanwhile, Brooke High School’s cheerleading team won its 15th state championship in Charleston, and volunteers in Elm Grove cleaned flood debris from Little Wheeling Creek. In Steubenville, the Nutcracker Village reopened with 230 life-size displays, marking a season of regional holiday celebrations and community resilience.
