A fatal two-vehicle crash on Lurgan Road in Glenavy, County Antrim, killed a man and woman, both occupants of a Cupra Formentor, around 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
The Skoda Fabia driver was hospitalized with injuries.
The road remained closed into Sunday morning, with police seeking witnesses and digital footage.
In a separate incident near Lisburn, five people, including two children, were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash at the junction of Saintfield and Old Ballynahinch roads, with three taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital and two to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
