Two fatal crashes in the Baton Rouge area on Friday, November 22, 2025, left a 20-year-old motorcyclist and a 73-year-old pedestrian dead. In Prairieville, Matthew Shields was killed when a Ford F-150 turning left struck his Yamaha motorcycle; the driver, Danny Tabor, 45, was arrested on multiple charges including negligent homicide. In Baker, a Chevrolet Silverado struck a pedestrian walking near the center of Plank Road; the driver was not impaired, but toxicology tests are pending. Both incidents are under investigation.
