The Office of the Special Prosecutor in Ghana reports advanced progress in two major corruption probes: a $94 million gold deal with Goldridge Company involving the Minerals Income Investment Fund, leading to the detention of CEO Nana Yaw Duodu and asset seizures, and a fuel diversion scheme involving over 30 Oil Marketing Companies that caused significant state revenue losses.
Related cases include charges against former National Petroleum Authority CEO Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid and former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta in a GH¢1.4 billion contract loss case.
