A Dhaka court has set November 25 for arguments in a corruption case involving former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 16 others over alleged irregularities in allocating a 10-katha plot in the RAJUK New Town Project.
Filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission in January 2025, the case centers on accusations of misuse of power, with 32 prosecution witnesses having testified.
The court, led by Judge Robiul Alam, will hear arguments after one accused pleaded not guilty; the others, including Hasina’s family members, are absconding and being tried in absentia.
A verdict is expected on November 27.
