Wisconsin CB Nyzier Fourqurean drops lawsuit for extra NCAA year, focusing on NFL prep.
Wisconsin cornerback Nyzier Fourqurean has dropped his lawsuit seeking an extra year of NCAA eligibility, ending his bid to play a fifth season.
He had argued his time at Division II Grand Valley State shouldn’t count toward his eligibility, citing pandemic-related disruptions.
A federal appeals court overturned a preliminary injunction allowing him to play in 2024, and with no ruling on a request to continue playing while the case proceeds, Fourqurean decided to move forward.
He started all 12 games for Wisconsin in 2023–24, recording 51 tackles and one interception, and will now focus on preparing for his pro day and pursuing an NFL career.
