Positive Enterprise 2025 opens applications for youth in West Cumbria, offering £1,000 funding and support for startups.

A new youth business initiative, Positive Enterprise 2025, is now accepting applications in Furness and West Cumbria for young people aged 14 to 25, offering £1,000 in funding, mentoring, workshops, and coaching. The programme, expanding to include Allerdale, Copeland, Barrow, and specific Furness wards, is in its fourth year and aims to support up to 20 participants starting January 2026. Funded by Sellafield Ltd, Thomas Graham and Sons Ltd, the Printers Inc Social Mobility Fund, and donors, past participants have launched ventures like sustainable fashion brands and wellness products. Information sessions are set for November 26 and December 10, with applications closing January 9, 2026.
