A major aid convoy delivers critical medical supplies to Sudan, reaching over 150,000 people amid ongoing conflict and severe health system collapse.
A 40-ton shipment of medical supplies, the largest single aid delivery by an international NGO to Sudan since March 2025, has arrived via Port Sudan and the Gallabat border from Ethiopia.
Organized by Save the Children with UN support, the cargo includes medicines, antibiotics, surgical kits, and nutrition supplies for malnourished children.
It will reach over 150,000 people, restocking 42 health centers and supporting mobile clinics in conflict-affected states.
The delivery comes amid severe humanitarian constraints, with over 75% of health facilities non-functional and aid access severely limited by ongoing fighting.
Save the Children calls for increased funding, safe passage for aid workers, and an end to violence to prevent further deterioration in child health and nutrition.
