Lake to River Economic Development named Dani Robbins its first permanent CEO, succeeding interim leader Alexa Sweeney Blackann, who will step down December 1, 2024. Selected after a national search, Robbins brings nonprofit and social services leadership experience, including prior CEO roles in Ohio and Washington, D.C. The board praised her organizational-building skills and collaborative approach. Robbins emphasized that economic development must include access to education, housing, and community stability. The organization continues to focus on cross-sector partnerships and inclusive growth across Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, and Ashtabula counties.
