House Republicans demand Clinton depositions in Epstein probe, citing withheld evidence.
House Oversight Chair James Comer has ordered Bill and Hillary Clinton to give sworn depositions on December 17 and 18, 2025, as part of a congressional probe into Jeffrey Epstein.
The move follows the Clintons’ attorney submitting only a written summary in response to a subpoena, prompting Comer to demand in-person testimony.
The investigation focuses on the Clintons’ past associations with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, including trips on Epstein’s jet and Maxwell’s presence at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.
The committee is also reviewing newly released documents, including Epstein’s “birthday book,” and is under a December 18 deadline to release additional files.
The Clintons deny knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and have not been accused of wrongdoing.
No sitting or former president has ever been compelled to testify in a legislative investigation.
