Enviri shares surged 28% on Nov. 21, 2025, after agreeing to sell its hazardous waste unit to France’s Veolia for $3.04 billion in cash.
Enviri Corp. (NVRI) shares jumped 28% on November 21, 2025, following the announcement of a $3.04 billion all-cash deal to sell its Clean Earth hazardous waste business to French firm Veolia Environnement SA.
The transaction, expected to close by mid-2026, will see Enviri shareholders receive $14.50 to $16.50 per share.
Enviri will retain its Harsco Environmental and Rail businesses, which will be spun off into a new publicly traded company, New Enviri.
The deal marks a major strategic shift, with Veolia expanding its U.S. hazardous waste footprint to become the second-largest operator, boosting its revenue and targeting 10% EBITDA growth through 2027.
