Dan Crossman, headteacher at Marlborough St Mary’s School in Wiltshire, is a finalist for the 2025 Pearson National Teaching Awards’ Gold Award in Headteacher of the Year, following a Silver Award earlier this year.
He will attend the November 29 ceremony in London, hosted by Gaby Roslin.
Since taking leadership four years ago, Crossman has led the school to its best academic results, implemented innovative programs like a Forest School and Danish Hygge approach, expanded support for students with special needs—including horse riding and maths cafes—and secured a positive Ofsted report in 2025.
Colleagues and parents praise his compassionate, dedicated leadership focused on every student and staff member.
