Washington state introduced a new specialty license plate for pickleball on November 19, 2025, becoming the second of seven authorized under a 2025 law.
The plate, named “Bill’s Bill” in honor of late Sen. Bill Ramos, features a stylized paddle and ball and was developed over three years by the Seattle Metro Pickleball Association, which collected 3,500 signatures and overcame legislative hurdles.
Priced at $157.25, proceeds will fund public pickleball courts.
Three other planned plates are delayed due to design or negotiation issues, and no new specialty plates will be approved until the moratorium under Senate Bill 5444 expires.
