The 19th WAVES Film Bazaar opened in Panaji, Goa, with South Korean lawmaker Jaewon Kim singing India’s national song, Vande Mataram, to a standing ovation, marking the song’s 150th anniversary and highlighting deepening cultural ties between India and South Korea.
The event, inaugurated by India’s Minister of State L. Murugan and attended by filmmakers and dignitaries, features over 300 projects from seven countries and expects more than 40,000 visitors.
Established in 2007, the bazaar supports film co-productions and emerging talent, advancing India’s goal to become a global film hub.
