Sandra Barry, 40, of Lucan, Dublin, appeared in Dublin District Court on November 20, 2025, charged with sending implied threatening messages via social media to Simon Harris, Ireland’s deputy premier and finance minister, on August 30.
Authorities identified six messages sent over one evening, though only two were initially confirmed.
The messages, described as grossly offensive and implying harm to Harris and his family, referenced a prior incident involving a minor.
Barry, an equine hand earning minimum wage, made no plea and was granted cashless bail with strict conditions: no contact with Harris, including via social media, and weekly Garda check-ins.
Judge Michele Finan warned that violating the terms could lead to bail revocation.
A next hearing is set for December 18.
