The two-story, climate-controlled facility, set for completion by mid-2026, will consolidate records from scattered locations, including the county jail basement and a Pennsylvania storage site.
Funding comes from $4 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds, $2.9 million from the state, and the rest from the county’s capital fund.
Commissioners also approved buying a Route 45 building for $200,000 to house vehicles for the Veterans Service Commission, renewed a public defender contract, and authorized a credit card for economic development.
The next commissioners’ meeting is Nov. 26; the Dec. 24 meeting is canceled.
