Liberty County schools approved weapons detection systems in middle and high schools, a lower millage rate, and teacher retention bonuses. Developers advanced plans for new townhome and apartment complexes. Bradwell Institute’s basketball and flag football teams won early season games, and the Lady Tide wrestling team placed second at a regional tournament. Community efforts continue through Keep Liberty Beautiful’s clean-up events and Recycle It! Fairs. A scholarship honoring Susie King Taylor was also announced.
