India has delivered a 70-meter modular bridge and launching equipment to Nepal on November 20, 2025, in Hetauda, as part of disaster recovery efforts following October 2025 floods in eastern Nepal.
The first of ten planned bridges, funded as a grant, will be deployed in Ramechhap to restore critical road access.
Each bridge spans 70 meters, supports up to 38 tonnes, and can be rapidly installed.
India previously provided 10 prefabricated steel bridges after 2024 floods, four of which are already in use.
Officials from both nations highlighted the aid as a sign of strong bilateral ties and India’s ongoing support for Nepal’s infrastructure and disaster resilience.
